A Novel, Improved Equivalent Circuit Model for Double-Sided Linear Induction Motor

A novel, improved equivalent circuit model of double-sided linear induction motors (DLIMs) is proposed, which takes the skin effect and nonzero leakage reactance secondary, longitudinal, transverse end effects into consideration. Firstly, traditional with longitudinal are briefly reviewed. Additionally, correction coefficients for derived by one-dimensional analysis models given. Secondly, factors effect, reflects inhomogeneous air gap magnetic field vertically, secondary quasi-two-dimensional model. Then, proposed presented, excitation resistance modified from three analytical models. Finally, a three-dimensional (3D) finite element used to verify under varying width frequency, results also compared that The calculated thrust characteristics 3D experimentally validated constant voltage–frequency drive.
